Digital marketing leads visitor push

Greece is going digital with its tourism marketing after visitor growth exceeded 10 per cent in 2016. “It was a great year for Greek tourism,” said Dimitris Tryfonopoulos, secretary-general of the national tourist office.

Many visitors to Greece post their experiences on social media platforms, and the tourist office is responding with increased digital marketing activities. “We have achieved very good results with a mix of classic and digital advertising,” Tryfonopoulos said.
